Brooklyn was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working around the clock to make sure our members have the latest information on the virus and access to resources to combat it. The virus shined a light on deep and systemic inequalities in our county. The virus devastated our neighborhoods, particularly those with high Black and Hispanic populations. Unfortunately, our federal leadership has significantly undercounted the need for resources in our communities, and under Republican leadership, there was no collective effort to combat the pandemic.

As a result, many Americans lost their lives and many others suffered serious and lasting health effects. The Brooklyn Democratic Party is working to combat the inequalities that have been exposed in our community. That means advocating for affordable housing, health care for all, funding for small businesses and equity in education.
