The Brooklyn Democratic Party represents and advocates for Democrats from every corner of the borough. We’re one of the largest Democratic organizations in the U.S., with 1.2 million registered voters and 42 District Leaders among 21 Assembly Districts.
We’re proud to be one of the most diverse political organizations in the nation; welcoming leaders and activists of every ethnicity, religion, race. We’re a grassroots organization, and we help elect leadership that is reflective and inclusive of your community. We are a big tent party, and the flap is open to everyone.

There are many ways to get involved! The first step (if you haven’t already) is to register to vote. Here is the New York State Voter Registration Form. As a registered Democrat in Brooklyn, you can join the party.
We also highly encourage you to volunteer for the Party.
The Brooklyn Democratic Party also depends upon the financial support of Democrats like you. Will you contribute to keep us going strong?

We encourage all Democrats to run! Please note that many of the County Committee vacancies were filled for the 2020-2022 term during our 2020 Organizational Meeting.
Getting on a ballot generally requires petitioning—collecting a minimum number of signatures from citizens who are eligible to vote for the office. The next chance to petition for the Kings County Democratic Committee is in 2022.

You can put in your address here to find your election district and your closest voting site. Every electoral district listed corresponds with your representatives and legislators. For the Brooklyn Democratic Party (if you live in Brooklyn) your Assembly District corresponds to your district leader and your election district shows the county committee members in your area (or where you can run for the position).
